Don’t judge Falcons with Cyprus tournament — NFF

Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation,  Bitrus Bewarang has made it clear that the Super Falcons should not be judged by their performance at the ongoing Cyprus Women’s Invitational Tournament as the team is only using it to perfect their strategies ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup holding in France later in the year.

Bewarang while speaking to Sportinglife.ng at the Nff secretariat, said though the matches played so far in the invitational tournament has a question mark, but the team should not be assessed based on the outcome of the matches  as the coach is using it to test new players.

” I must tell you that the head coach (Dennerby) is working so hard to ensure that Falcons have a good outing in France. The Federation is also ensuring that whatever they ask for is given to them.  The Technical department is also monitoring the preparations,” said Bewarang.

He boasted that the Falcons will be the toast of the world when the competition gets underway in France for the  FIFA Women’s World Cup  Bill for  June.

“Look Falcons are going to France to compete not to participate. I see the team going beyond the semi final even playing at the final of the world cup. The girls are experienced and they are doing well in their various clubs in Europe. I have confidence in the team”.  Bewarang concluded.
