Seychelles national team Head Coach, Gavin Jeanne, has revealed that his players would not be paid match bonus even if they defeat the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Saturday’s 2019 AFCON qualifier at the Stade Linite in Victoria.

Speaking to newsmen ahead of the encounter, Jeanne said that money has never been the determining
factor for his players anytime they are privileged to wear the national colours of the country.

“We play for free. It is an honour for me to be on the bench,” said the coach who is looking forward to
victory against Nigeria.

But while the team won’t be paid win bonus by the Seychelles Football Federation, each player is
entitled to a monthly stipend of $635.

On the other hand, members of the Nigeria national squad will get $5000 win bonus each for tomorrow’s game
which is almost 10 times the average monthly salary of the Seychelles team.
