Eagles friendlies: Dosu tasks Rohr on invited goalkeepers
Former Dream Team shot-stopper Joseph Dosu has tasked Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr to hand the three invited goalkeepers game time in next month’s international friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia.
Speaking with Lagos-based Brila FM, Dosu hailed the coaches to have been brave enough to try out new hands in goal with the three invited goalkeepers, but added that handing the chances to all shot stoppers will be good enough a way to see what they all have to offer the Super Eagles.
“Kudos to the coaches for inviting Alampasu and Yakubu into the team, I hope they will have the opportunity to keep because Okoye has been called all the time and he has not been in goal so for sure this will be an opportunity for us to see Okoye.
(3/4) – Matthew Yakubu has three clean sheets in four appearances this season – more than the other @NGSuperEagles goalkeepers invited for the October 2020 International friendlies. (Dele Alampasu – 0/2, Maduka Okoye – 0/0). Welcome. pic.twitter.com/c7Lc0U3TOi

“What is important is it is a friendly game where we want to see everybody, the coaches will see their performance and still retain them in the national team if they do very well.
“So for me I think the coaches have done very well by inviting those three chaps back to the national team.”
