In a chat with Sportinglife.ng, he said the match is necessary to test the ability of the players and also an opportunity to know the players who are physically fit for his selection as there would be no other friendly before the qualifier.

The German-born tactician said the match will not be treated as a mere friendly because winning the game will lift the Super Eagles in the next FIFA ranking.

” I know Nigerians will want us to beat Brazil or judge us with the game. But my own is that the match is good to prepare their minds and build confidence. You know playing Brazil is a grade-A international friendly match, the boys must give their 100%t and we hope for a good result. So far the players are in high spirit and everybody is preparing and looking forward to the match,” said Rohr.
