Eagles Round-Up: Osimhen Fires Lille to victory, Mikel plays

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored the winning goal for French Ligue 1 side. Lille as they secured a 2-1 win against Strasbourg late Saturday night.

Osimhen’s goal which came in the the 80th minute from the penalty spot ended a run of three straight defeats for Lille who are fourth on the table.

Strasbourg took the lead through Adrien Thomasson in the 12th minute before Gabriel Magalhaes equalised for Lille in the second half.

Osimhen has scored 11 goals in 21 league outings for Lille so far this season.

In the Scottish Premier League, Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo was on for 90 minutes as Rangers were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Aberdeen. It was his 21st appearance

Rangers remain second on 57 points just four points away from Celtic.

Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi made his 14th appearance for Trabzonspor in their 2-1 comeback win against visiting Fenerbahce.

However teammate Anthony Nwakaeme was not listed.

Max Kruse gave Fenerbahce the perfect start when he scored one minute into the game.

Alexander Sorloth equalised for Trabzonspor in the 15th minute before Filip Novak got the winner on 32 minutes.

Trabzonspor now occupy third spot on 38 points and are three points behind leaders Sivasspor.
