Eagles set for the battle of Poto Novo

In a matter of minutes the Super Eagles will file out against the Squirrels of Benin Republic in one of the AFCON qualifiers being played across the continent.

Next year’s Nations Cup will feature 24 teams for the first time thus giving opportunity for more countries to participate, showcase their skill and attempt to capture the continental diadem. Nigeria has won the Nations Cup three times in 1980, 1994 and 2013

The Eagles had been tipped to clinch the fourth title in 2019 in Egypt but the team ended up in the third place with Algeria emerging Champions of the that occasion.

Permutations and predictions are ongoing across the country as the Eagles get set to tackle Squirrels. On paper many would say go to sleep because the job will be done without qualms but others say football is like biscuit it can crack from anywhere.
