Three Super Eagles stars have been listed for the prestigious Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Player of the Year.

The continent’s football governing body revealed the shortlist on Sunday morning, November 24, with 2019 AFCON Golden Boot winner Odion Ighalo, Lille’s Victor Osimhen and Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi making the cut.

On the other hand, three Super Falcons stars – Asisat Oshoala, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and Uchenna Kanu were listed among the ten female footballers in the running for African Womenβs Player of the Year prize.

In addition, Osimhen was also nominated for the African Youth Player of the Year, where he will square up against Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze and 14 other promising African youngsters for the award.
