Eagles train Wednesday, hit Kaliningrad Thursday for Croatia

Super Eagles of Nigeria will train just once at the Eseentuki arena on Wednesday before flying out to Kaliningrad on Thursday for their opening FIFA World Cup match against Croatia on Saturday at the 35,000 –capacity stadium at the Kaliningrad Arena.

Departure from Kaliningrad is at 4pm local time which will be 2pm in Nigeria.

Never have both countries met at this level since Croatia became an independent nation in 1992.

The Eagles who arrived on Monday night to a warm reception had their first official training on Tuesday afternoon.

The team is expected back in Eseentuki the day after the Croatia encounter to prepare for their second group game against Iceland on June 22.
