Eaglets captain, Samson Wins Award At TGC Global Scouting Tourney

 

The sixth edition of 2018 TGC Global Management scouting program for U-20 players came to an end at the Ijebu Ode stadium, Ogun State on Saturday.

The tournament which had 24 youth teams participate in the tourney had in attendance, Antonio Alberto, the chief scout of Gestifute Agency, owned by the famous Jorge Mendes, Remo Stars Chairman, Kunle Soname, Sporting Director of CD Feirense Portugal, Ossy Edwin, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph, Hon. Michel Ejele, Nwokeaqbia Ossy and Ojo Paul Omamomo, a licensed football agent and intermediary representing TGC Global Management.

After five days of intense screening, Tobi Ishola won the best goalkeeper award after keeping a clean sheet in the games he featured in while Dare Shokunbi was adjudged the most valuable player.

The best forward award went to Chika Collins after scoring four goals.

Golden Eaglets captain, Tijani Samson won the best midfielder of the tournament while Olisa Ndah of Remo Stars was named the best defender.

Meanwhile, the TGC Global Management presented awards to Hon. Kunle Soname, Chief Ossy Edwin, Hon.Ayodeji Joseph, Hon. Michael Diden Ejele, Hon. Nse Essien and Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin for Excellence in youth sports development in Nigeria.

Paul Omamomo, a licensed football agent and intermediary representing TGC Global Management told journalists after the tourney that the mission of Gestifute Agency was to offer good football education to the young and talented players ready for professional football.

TGC Global Management Portugal has managed over 36 Nigerian footballers.

“This is a process which we have carried out over the years and we have been successful at this,” Omamomo began.

“We are expanding our horizon to pick more players and that’s we had 24 teams at this year’s scouting event in Ijebu Ode. We have seen some talents and we will be bringing them closer to proper tutelage.”
