Ebuehi doubtful for Ukraine friendly after fresh injury
Benfica FC defender, Tyronne Ebuehi hopes of returning to the national team appears dashed following fresh injury worries.
The Nigeria defender who was today invited by Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr for next month’s international friendly against Ukraine is set for another spell on the sidelines.
According to a report on Portuguese online news hub, ABolais Ebuehi is suffering from muscle damage in the posterior region of the right thigh which happened in training this week.
He just returned from injury after missing the whole of last season due to ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee which he sustained few weeks after signing for the club from Dutch club, ADO Den Haag.
He last featured for Nigeria against Iceland at the 2018 FIFA World Cup coming on as a substitute in the second half.
The full-back returned to full fitness and featured in some pre-season games for the Portuguese champions.
