Ajagba knocks down Mansour

Nigeria’s sensation Efe Ajagba’s rising profile in the heavyweight division increased when he recorded another knockout victory at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on Saturday night.
This time the Ughelli- born pugilist destroyed veteran Amir Mansour with a crushing second round knockout.
Ajagba, trained by the legendary Ronnie Shields, unleashed his power shots and had the 46 year-old on the canvas twice in the first round.
Mansour managed to get through the second round then he and his corner threw in the towel, deciding against coming out to fight the third round.
Ajagba, born in Ughelli, said after the fight: “I want to be the best heavyweight in the world.”
“That’s my dream. I am going to go home and work hard and prepare for the next fight.”
The 24-year-old remains undefeated in nine fights, winning eight fights via knockouts and he was also recognized by Houston Boxing Awards as the biggest discovery of 2018.
Ajagba was Nigeria’s sole representative at the Rio Olympics boxing event in 2016 and made the headlines all over the world in August when his opponent, Curtis Harper, walked out of the fight when the contest was set to begin.
