EFL Cup: Iheanacho strikes, Iwobi plays, Success not listed

Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho justified his inclusion with a goal for Leicester City who defeated Burton Albion 3-1 in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

It was Iheanacho’s second goal for the Foxes in this competition this season before he was removed in the 66th minute for Harvey Barnes.

He struck in the seventh minute after he had already fired wide before applying the finishing touch for the opening goal.

Youri Tielemans and James Maddison added the second and third to finish the job for the Foxes who are through to the last eight.

Elsewhere at the Goodison Park, goals from Mason Holgate and Richarlison fired Everton into the knock out stage against Watford.

Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi featured for the Toffees while international teammate Isaac Success was not listed for Watford.

At the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City beat Southampton 3-1 while Oxford United drew 1-1 with Sunderland.
