Ekong set to cage Ronaldo as Udinese welcome Juventus

Super Eagles and Udinese of Italy defender William Troost Ekong will be aiming to stop Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday in a Seria A clash.

Stopping the Portuguese from getting his fourth goal for the Old Lady would be a big challenge for Ekong  after featuring in seven matches this season.

Juventus handled by Massimiliano Allegri have not lost a game this season as they look forward to their eighth consecutive victory at the Stadio Friuli to extend their lead on the table.

The 25- year-old Nigeria international who is one of the 24 players invited for next weekend’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya has helped Udinese to two clean sheets.

Udinese are currently 14th on the table from two wins, two draws and three defeats.

Meanwhile Juventus have continued to stand behind their star player who has been accused by American Kathryn Mayorga of raping her at a Las Vegas Hotel in 2009.

“I’ve known Cristiano for three months now and for over 15 years of his career he has shown to be a great professional, both on and off the pitch,” Allegri revealed during his pre-match conference.
