Ekundayo beats Louis Greene to defend IBF title

Nigeria’s Larry ‘The Natural’ Ekundayo successfully defended his International Boxing Federation (IBF) European title at York Hall, London.

Ekundayo, who represented Nigeria at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, beat the previously undefeated Briton Louis Greene by an unanimous decision with scores from the judges standing at 100-89, 98-91, and 99-90 .

Louis Greene, while gracious in defeat, said on Facebook post-fight: “Everyone who watched I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support it wasn’t my night, I’ll be back, all the best to Larry, what a gent with a real heartwarming story behind his career, thanks again for all the support now to rest with my wife and children love you all.”
