Enyeama to Ikeme: You are a good man

LOSC Lille goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama took to social media to pay an emotional tribute to now retired Super Eagles shotstopper, Carl Ikeme following a long battle with cancer.

The 32-year-old, who was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in July, 2017 revealed last month that he was
in “complete remission” after a tough year and intense chemotherapy”.

However, Ikeme announced his retirement from football last Friday after listening to advice from his
doctors and immediately got messages of support from around the world.

Enyeama wrote on his official twitter handle @Vinpee: “God be with you Carl Ikeme. I will forever
cherish this day that we shared the same bus and field as teammates.

“I pray that God heals, restore and lead you in the right direction. Keep winning champion. You are a
good man.

“Ikeme has played for Wolverhampton Wanderers his entire career, making over 200 apperances for the
Molineux club.
