Enyimba, Plateau United secure away draws to improve NPFL spots

Enyimba and Plateau United gained impressive away draws in Minna and Damaturu against Niger Tornadoes and Yobe Desert Stars respectively to improve their lots in the league table in Group A and B.
At the Bako Kotangora Stadium, Minna the People’s Elephant finally secured their first away point of the season after a hard fought goalless draw against Ikon Allah Boys whose season’s misery continued despite the resignation of Bernard Ogbe.
Enyimba had beaten Remo Stars at home last weekend to move to the third spot and they held on tightly to that position after the hard-fighting Tornadoes side failed to make home advantage count.
They now improved their points haul to 11 from eight games. Enyimba will face Katsina United next at midweek while Tornadoes will travel to Ilorin as guests of Kwara United.
In Group B, Yobe Desert Stars have compounded their woes with another listless goalless draw at home to Plateau United.
The result cemented Ngozi Elechi’s men spot at the bottom of the table with seven points from seven games while Plateau United are eighth with 11 points from nine matches.
