 Enyimba, Rangers get Conf Cup opponents begin campaign Dec 1

 

Group opponents of Nigeria’s Confederation cup campaigners Rangers international and Enyimba were unveiled Tuesday in Cairo Egypt.

The two Nigerian teams who flew past opponents in the play-offs will begin their quest for the title in the continental fiesta on December 1.

Rangers were drawn against two Egyptian sides Pyramids and El Masry with Mauritania side FC Nouadhibou completing the line up in Group A.

Two time champions league winners Enyimba on the other hand will be competing in Group D where they face FC San Pedro of Cote d Ivoire, Hassania US Agadir of Morocco and paradou AC of Algeria.

CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, accompanied by FIFA General Secretary and general delegate to Africa Fatma Samoura and CAF Executive committee members attended the draw which was conducted by CAF Director of Competitions Samson Adamu assisted by Uganda’s football legend Edgar Watson and DR Congo’s former captain Herita Ilunga.

The groups are as follows:

Group A: Nouadhibou (Mauritania) – Rangers (Nigeria) – Pyramids (Egypt) – Al MAsry (Egypt)

Group B: Bidvest Wits (South Africa) – El Nasr (Libya) – Djoliba (Mali) – Horoya (Guinea)

Group C: RS Berkane (Morocco) – Motema Pembe (DR Congo) – Zanaco (Zambia) – ESAE (Benin)

Group D: San Pedro (Cote d’Ivoire) – Hassania Agadir (Moroco) – Enyimba (Nigeria) – Paradou (Algeria)
