Enyimba sign Ghana’s Darkwah, Ampiah and Mohammed

Nigeria Professional Football League champion, Enyimba have secured the services of three Ghanaian players: Daniel Darkwah, Emmanuel Ampiah and Abass Mohammed ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign, Sportinglife.ng reports.

The two time African champions, who will battle Rahimo FC of Burkina Faso in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round at the 10,000 capacity Stade Wobi, announced the signing on the club’s official Twitter Handle.

“We are excited to announce the arrival of three Ghana national team players – Daniel Darkwah, Emmanuel Ampiah and Abass Mohammed.

“Darkwah, a former captain of the Ghanaian B team, joins from Asante Kotoko SC and can operate as a left back or on the left side of midfield.

“Ampiah, also a left back, comes with NPFL experience having spent the past season at Delta Force. He has represented Ghana at youth and senior levels.

“Mohammed is a striker that has arrived following successful spells with Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko SC in Ghana’s top division”, the eight-time Nigerian champion said.

The People’s Elephant will be hoping for a fine outing in the local and continental campaigns after beefing up the squad with the acquicition of MFM captain, Ausin Opara, goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode, Victor Mbaoma, Cyril Olisema, Emmanuel James, and Samson Obi.
