EPL: Gunners ‘gun down’ Tottenham in desperate bid to save Arteta’s job

Arsenal players were at their best on Sunday as they subdued Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 in one of the English Premier League ties.

Thanks to goals from Smith Rowe in the (12’minutes), Aubameyang (27’minutes), Saka (34’minutes) before Son Heung-Min reduced the tally for Wolves in the (79’minutes).

And that has seemingly impressed those in charge, with Arsenal bosses optimistic about the team’s progress under his leadership.

According to the Daily Mail, Emirates chiefs are all in on Arteta after backing him in the transfer market to the tune of £150million.

Arteta has come in for some serious flack in the opening weeks of the new campaign, admitting that it has impacted him.

“It affected me a lot,” Arteta told Sky Sports. “When we lost against [Manchester] City, I had to put things into perspective.

“In life, things happen and they come at you, we cannot choose them. How you can take them and how you benefit from those, that’s in your hands.

“I said ‘listen, this is where we are. Let’s embrace it and analyse what we can do better and what I can do better myself’.”
