EPL: Iheanacho still has the magic, says Rodgers

Leicester boss, Brendan Rodgers still believes in Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho, despite his inability to always make the team first eleven.

The coach said the player has always delivered whenever he is called upon to rescue the team when the chips are down.

The Leicester City boss stated that the striker his playing behind one of the best forward in Europe at the moment but believes he will always be ready to step into the shoes when called upon.

“He’s playing behind one of the great strikers in Europe. I know that when I need him, he’ll be ready.”

Rodgers, had described Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidiafter, as a wonderful and incredible player.

The former Liverpool gaffer has led his Leicester team to an impressive 3rd position on the league standings so far but believes much of the credit should also go to the Nigerian who has been sublime in the heart of the midfield.

Rogers stated that it’s only a shame that offensive players get more credit than those who do the dirty work behind.

“He is an incredible player. The offensive players get the credit but he does the dirty work,” Rodgers said.
