EPL: Leicester boss Rudgers concentrates on Ndidi, Iheanacho, others

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has said his side have not been impacted by their summer transfer window, saying that his greatest aim is to improve the team.

The Foxes have not made a single incoming signing this summer, while there are rumors surrounding Welsey Fofana and James Maddison.

Veteran Kasper Schmeichel has also departed to Nice, while the Foxes could only draw their opening game in the Premier League 2-2 against Brentford.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Rodgers said: “My concentrations is purely on the players that we have. I think every coach will tell you that you want to improve and we are no different.

“If we can’t then my concentration falls on the players that are here and they have been absolutely brilliant. So we arrive into today’s competition now in a good place.

“The players are very focused and our spirt is very strong, so we are just excited now with the challenge ahead.”
