Europa League: Rodgers sure of Leicester’s knockout ticket

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, is pleased to be in the knockout phase of the Europa League.

Last night’s 3-3 draw with Braga guarantees Leicester will qualify from their group.

Rodgers said, “In the first half we were too slow in our movement, too static and we weren’t aggressive enough. I thought Braga were better than us in the first half.

“Our challenge in the second half was to make sure we didn’t lose the game, and do everything we could to win it. Could we show our spirit and mentality? And in the second half we were outstanding.

“It’s great to qualify. That was the objective at the beginning and now the next ambition is to go on and win the group.”
