Even in defeat you are not alone Sturridge assures Liverpool

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is in “no doubt” that the Reds will bounce back from their current poor form.

The reigning Premier League champions have struggled of late and have lost their last six home league matches.

The latest saw them beaten 1-0 by Fulham with Jurgen Klopp’s side failing to create any real chances of note.

Liverpool are currently in eighth spot, though remain just four points outside the top four in a congested table.

And Sturridge, who left the club in 2019 and is currently a free agent, is confident that the winning feeling will soon be back.

He posted on social media: “Great players and managers always figure out the solution to the problems and I have no doubt @LFC will be back to the team we know and love.

“Played some of the best football in Europe the past 4/5 years so this bad patch feels different. International break will reset the engine trust me.”

Boss Klopp knows results need to change, admitting individual errors need to stop.

He said: “They wanted to win this game today. I saw that. We made mistakes still, that’s the problem, but that’s not about you don’t want it – the boys don’t want to make mistakes, we just made them.
