Everton G/keeper Olsen and family attacked by Machete wielding robbers

Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen and his family have been subjected to a ‘horrific’ attack by machete-wielding raiders according to dailymail.

Panicked top-flight stars are now beefing up home security after masked thugs crashed in and confronted the on-loan Sweden international on Saturday night. He was with his wife and two small children at the time.

Amid terrifying scenes, the robbers marched Olsen around the home, threatened him with a knife and escaped with valuable jewellery and a luxury watch. Police are investigating, and Everton are offering support to their player and his family following what insiders have described as a ‘deeply traumatising’ episode.

Other clubs in the North West are aware of the shocking attack, which took part close to Altrincham, Greater Manchester — a leafy area that many top-flight stars call home.

It is understood that many clubs are now considering offering their players bodyguards, amid concerns that they are being targeted by an organised mob.

Sources say that Olsen is bearing up well but has concerns over the impact of the incident on his young family, who are thought to have moved out of the property.

The 31–year-old, who joined the Merseyside club from Roma in October until the end of the season, is the latest star to fall victim to thieves.

Last month, a safe was stolen from the home of Olsen’s boss, Carlo Ancelotti. The 61-year-old’s daughter was reported to have been at home in Crosby, Merseyside, when men wearing balaclavas broke in.
