Everton teenager, Dylan Thompson is trialling with Newcastle United.

According to The Evening Chronicle, the 18-year-old played in the 4-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Aggborough on Monday afternoon.

Thompson, a centre-back, has previously played for Blackpool and Manchester United but has been on Everton’s books since the age of 12.

Everton describe him as an “assured, ball playing” defender but the teenager is looking for a new club.

This season he has played six times for the Under-18s and once for the Under-23s with the Toffees.

United are looking for new blood for their Academy and Under-23 sides for next season with several players expected to leave at the end of the current campaign.
