Everton Vows To Win Trophy for Akwa United after unveiling

Brazilian coach, Rafael Everton has promised to win a trophy for Akwa United ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season which kicks off in December.

He signed a one year contract on Monday with the Promise Keepers after replacing Abdu Maikaba.

Maikaba has joined former NPFL champions, Plateau United.

“I believe in my work and I believe I can win a trophy for Akwa United,” he said in Uyo on Monday.

“I like picking up new challenges, that pushes me to be great,” said Everton.

Everton who has handled Abia Warrios gained the headlines after winning the 2016 Aiteo Cup with Ifeanyiubah.

Akwa United finished second in the NPFL last season and failed to defend their Aiteo Cup title, having crashed out in the quarter final to newly crowned champions Enugu Rangers.
