At the last count, Manu Garba claimed the U17 World Cup in 2013, but failed to gain a spot in 2017 and was sent packing from the biennial tournament in the last 16 round.
Speaking on Brila FM moments after Nigeria’s 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands, Amun urged the NFF to specifically appointment coaches that will return to the fundamental purpose of the competition – developmental.
“The essence of participating in the competition is development; for the Coaches and players,” Amun noted.

“It isn’t about winning. The FA should have a rethink about the appointment of coaches. They should look towards extending their tentacles to other coaches,” added Amu, who also had the privilege of winning the U17 World Cup in 1993.
