Some of the Nigeria’s future sports talents would on parade during the Inter House meets of Excel College, Ejigbo, Lagos which holds at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Sports Ground, Shasha, Lagos on Wednesday, February,13.
It promises to be another opportunity for the competing houses to jostle for the coveted overall trophy of the bi-annual meets as defending champions, Orange House, contends with ambitious Red, Green and Blue Houses for medals in the various events.
According to Dr, Bamidele Oke, Co-Director of the school, the 2019 edition of the bi-annual competition has an innovative additional initiative aimed at inculcating organizational skills in the students by involving them in the planning and management of the event.
“We are committed to nurturing future leaders by giving them the opportunity to learn important leadership skills. Beyond identifying sports talents and celebrating them, we expose them to the rudiments of organizational and planning skills towards making them accomplished student leaders.
“Honestly, we are amazed with the students’ enthusiasm and organizational ability,” he said.
Football, athletics, volleyball, table tennis, basketball and badminton are some of the events that will feature during the competition.
