Falcons’ ace Alozie maintains form scores for Houston Dash
Super Falcons ace Michelle Alozie is maintaining impressive form after the recently concluded World in Australia and New Zealand. Alozie effectively plays either as a defender or forward was on target for her American club Houston Dash on Sunday in the National Women Soccer League (NWSL).
KC Current had shot into the lead in the 51st minute of the match and were having impressive run with 54% possession to Houston Dash’s 46% ratio but it was Alozie that rose to the occasion to earn an equaliser in the 67th minute to leave the encounter as 1-1 all.
Despite the win however Houston are still low on the ladder occupying the 10th position in the 12-team league. They have managed to garner 20 points in 17 matches played even as Portland thons lead the pack with 29 points in 17 matches played.

Next for Houston Dash will be a clash against San Diego Wave on September 4th followed by a tie against Racing Louisville on September 16.
Alozie signed a two-year contract extension with the Dash in December last year.
She made a huge impact at the world cup despite round of 16 exit for Super Falcons.
Recall that she made her senior debut for Nigeria on 10 June 2021 as a 65th-minute substitution in a 0–1 friendly loss to Jamaica. She was named by national team manager Randy Waldrum, who had previously managed the Dash.

On 16 June 2023, she was included in the 23-player Nigerian squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
She made her FIFA Women’s World Cup debut on 21 July 2023 in a goalless draw against Canada. She also played a vital role in Nigeria’s 3–2 victory over co-hosts Australia 6 days later.
