Falcons coach begs NFF for Video analyst ahead World Cup

Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has pleaded with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to employ a video analyst and physical trainer for the women’s senior national team ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Dennerby, who has just led the Falcons to a historic ninth title of the 2018 Africa Women’s Nations Cup in Ghana last Saturday after defeating hard fighting South Africa 4-3 on penalties in the finals, made the request when he submitted his programme for the tournament next June.

While targeting a good outing in France, Dennerby, whose coaching style has continued to divide opinions within and outside the football family, believes the additional hands would make his job easier.

“He has proposed that the coaches be placed on daily allowances and not on salaries anytime they are in camp with the team,” said an NFF official.
