Falcons coach invites Omidiji For France friendly

Super Falcons head Coach Thomas Dennerby has handed a late call-up to Omidiji Omotola of S.B.V Excelsior of Belgium for Friday’s international friendly against France.

Super Falcons head Coach Thomas Dennerby has handed a late call-up to Omidiji Omotola of S.B.V Excelsior of Holland for Friday’s international friendly against France.

The women’s senior national team would be without reigning CAF Women’s Player, Asisat Oshoala who was dropped by Dennerby due to fitness.

Omidiji announced her call-up on her twitter handle “I am honored and proud to have gotten a call up with the Nigerian women’s national team for the friendly against France this coming Friday. Will give everything I have for the country “. I am delighted to go to battle with my sisters all deserving and amazing players I’ve watched over the years that have all made our country proud, she added.

The forward also said that with this feat  her dreams of wearing the green and white jersey has come through. “dreams definitely do come true, just a small girl from Vegas with passion for football and green white running through her veins.”

Omotola received her first national team call up with Nigeria women’s national under-20 football team for an African world cup U-20 qualification game against Democratic Republic of Congo in an away game in Kinshasa. She called the call up to the national team the “greatest honor of my life”

She trained with the team in Abuja before heading to Kinshasa for the game against Congo where Nigeria won 2–1.
