Falcons to receive unpaid allowances before world cup – NFF

The General-Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has expressed confidence that Nigeria’s representative in the forthcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup in France will get to the final of the competition.

Sanusi who spoke to Sportinglife.ng said, his optimism is based on the preparations undertaken by the teams towards a successful outing in France.

” Look you must agree with me that in the history of female football, this is the first time the federation has engaged the senior national female team in real preparation having played series of invitational tournaments outside Nigeria. The WAFU women’s championship is the last preparation before going into camping for the
final phase. I have confidence that the Falcons will reach the final of the world cup,”.said Sanusi

He also revealed that the girls will be treated like their male counterparts in terms of ensuring that their entitlements are paid as at when due.

Sanusi further stated that as part of motivation, the federation is making effort to have the team’s outstanding benefits paid before the kick off of the World Cup in June.
