Fans blast PSG ultras for insulting Shakira ahead C/League clash

 

Sick Paris Saint-Germain ultras targeted pop sensation Shakira with a disgusting banner calling her a ‘prostitute’ ahead of their upcoming clash with Barcelona.

The defending French champions will host Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday for the second leg of their round-of-16 Champions League clash.

PSG hold a 4-1 lead on aggregate after their victory at the Camp Nou last month.

However, militant supporters of the Parisian club have been slammed for their vile attack on Shakira, who is in a relationship with Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

PSG ultras were spotted on the streets of Paris on Sunday holding up different banners while lighting flares.

And one of the banners included the message “Shakira a La Jonquera,” which is referencing a town on the French-Spanish border that has a notorious reputation for prostitution.

Fans have taken to social media to staunchly defend Shakira and blast the PSG ultras for their shocking banners.

One Twitter user posted: “LOL. PSG fans coming after Shakira? She’s literally held more Champions League trophies than your entire institution. Football is about respect.”

While someone else tweeted: “PSG fans slandering Shakira now? Disgraceful. Shakira is bigger than your club, BTW.”

A third said: “Absolutely disgraceful act by PSG supporters to harass Shakira like that simply [because] she is linked with Barcelona.”

Shakira was a delight to watch as she performed back in 2010 when Africa hosted the World cup for the first time in South Africa.
