Fans hail Salah after stunning assist in AFCON semi-final win
Mohamed Salah wowed fans by producing a moment of magic to send Egypt into the AFCON semi-finals on Sunday.
The Liverpool forward was in the right spot to tap Egypt level after Morocco went ahead through Sofiane Boufal’s early spot-kick, sending the quarter-final to extra-time.
With 99 minutes on the clock Salah struck, driving down the right flank, twisting Nayef Aguerd into a spin and squaring for Trezeguet to fire the winner.
The Egyptian King has now scored 25 goals in 31 games for club and country this season, showing some of his very best form. His first international trophy is now just two games away, too.
‘After sitting down half of Man City’s team for his goal at Anfield, he’s produced these moments of magic with regularity since. He has everything.’
@Alvin_Kleinn added: ‘Mo Salah is the team leader that Messi never was.’

‘Please stop saying he’s carrying the team it hurts us as Egyptians ffs.’
Egypt are seeking their first AFCON title since 2010 but a determined host nation stands in their way ahead of the semi-finals, with Cameroon next up.
