Flying Eagles and Water FC winger, Success Makanjuola has said that the Flying Eagles will make a huge impact in this month’s FIFA U-20 World Cup starting on May 23 in Poland and predicted that with the high
spirit in the team Nigeria will lift the trophy for the first time.
The Water FC winger who spoke to Sportinglife.ng from the team’s camp in Germany said with the series of friendly matches, the team is ready to take on the rest of the world.
” Nigeria is prepared for this competition, we train morning and evening just to be fit for this competition and I promise that we will bring this cup to Nigeria. I am delighted to be among the 21 players selected to represent our country. I know we have worked hard and with the skills and talents, we are going to shock the world in Poland”. Makanjuola said
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles returned to the competition after missing the last edition held in South Korea.
Nigeria will open campaign against Qatar in the first group D match on May, 24th before engaging USA and Ukraine in the second and final group game.
Makanjuola is among the 21 players picked by Paul Aigbogun to fly Nigeria flag at the biennial tournament.
