Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori can still play for Nigeria after failing to make his England senior debut.
Tomori was included in England squad for two European Championship qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria but was left on the substitute bench in both games.
The Calgary-born native, who can also play for Canada, is well behind the likes of Tyrone Mings, Harry Maguire and Michael Keane in the pecking order of central defenders in Gareth Southgate’s English team.
The Chelsea defender can still switch to Nigeria if he accepts an invition by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic in November 13.
England will play Montenegro on November 14 and Kosovo three days later.
