Flying Eagles To Face Saudi Arabia ahead Poland 2019

 

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will play Saudi Arabia in a friendly encounter on May 5 as they continue to shape up for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland which holds from May 23 to June 15.

The Nigeria side who are in Germany on a training tour will travel to Austria for the friendly where the Saudi team are camped.

On Tuesday, the U-20 drew 3-3 with Freiburg U19 side in their first test game since arriving Germany on Sunday.

Jerome Akor, Henry Offia and Tom Dele-Bashiru scored for the Flying Eagles in the game.

The West Africans have been drawn in the same group along with Qatar, USA and Ukraine and would be aiming to win their first title

Nigeria have finished as runners up on two occasion with the first in 1989 and 2015.

In 1985 they won bronze after defeating old Soviet Union in penalties.
