Forget Anthony and quit now! Fury Senior warns Tyson

Nothing to prove anymore time to quit declares Fury Senior

As Tyson Fury continues to celebrate his breath taking victory over Deontay Wilder, the elated pugilist has been told to hang his gloves and kiss the sport goodbye for good.

The advice is coming from no other person than Tyson Fury’s father, John who insisted that his 31 year old son has paid his dues and has nothing more to prove to anybody.

The Gypsy King dealt his American opponent his first lost in a devastating display of power that saw Wilder’s corner throw in the towel in the seventh round.

It has been celebration galore for the fury family since the feat with Tyson joined by his wife Paris, Brother Tommy, and a host of other well-wishers and fans. While Fury senior is equally neck deep in the celebration, the 55-year-old former boxer told Good Morning Britain: “I want my son to retire now. He’s done enough to prove [himself].

“It’s been an uphill battle for him. He’s done enough. I want him to pack it in now.

“I think it’s in the back of his mind. He can’t do anymore. Enough is enough. He’s given all.”

Fury relinquished the world heavyweight titles that he won in his stunning upset against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 as he battled his personal issues outside of boxing.

The newly-crowned WBC champ fought Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta three years later before he targeted Wilder in their initial 2018 blockbuster fight.

John admitted that he thought there was “no hope” his son would return to boxing after his time outside of the ring.

“I’ll be honest, I’m sat here today and I still keep pinching myself because where he was two years ago there was no hope, basically,” he explained.
