Former Cameroon Captain Eto’o survives Auto crash

 

Former Cameroon international and four time African footballer of the year Samuel Eto’o Fils survived auto crash in Cameroon on Sunday.

The former Barcelona ace was said to be on his way back from West Region where he had attended a function and was returning to Douala when the incident occurred.

Family members said though the former Indomitable Lions captain is undergoing checkup at an unnamed hospital, he is fine and there is no cause for alarm.

The vehicle in which Eto was travelling was however smashed especially in the front.

Security sources say the driver of one travel Agency was responsible for the accident after hitting two cars on Eto’s convoy.

The driver ordinarily should have been having it hot now but report has it that Eto cancelled initial complain he made against the driver since nobody died in the incident.  He however warned the driver to be more careful and avoid putting his life and that of other road users at risk.

Recall that Eto equally survived a dramatic car crash on the Spanish island of Majorca way back in 2004

The vehicle in that incident left the road, crashed into barriers and then rolled several times before coming to a standstill in the middle of the road.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident and no-one was injured.
