Former Nigeria coach wants Arsenal to continue with winning form

Former Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh, has urged Arsenal to continue with the terrific form that saw them subdued Fulham 3-0 in their premier League opening duel.

A scrambled first-half finish from Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette handed the Gunners the lead before second-half efforts from debuting Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães and Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang sealed all the three points at stake for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arguably the outstanding star of the day was former Chelsea winger Willian, who provided two assists, had a hand in the game’s opener, and had his first-half freekick come off the post.

Arteta appears to be forging the FA Cup and Community Shield winners into a decent team, and Oliseh had nothing but praise for the way the side performed against the Lily Whites.

Writing on his official Twitter account, the former Juventus midfielder said:

“Arsenal put up a highly organised, modern, mature & credibly well-rounded performance vs. Fulham.

“I believe, should they continue this way versus other opponents, Arsenal fans have the right to be extremely optimistic this season. Impressive!”

Arsenal finished outside of the top-six last season, missing out on Champions League football this term.
