Former Porn star Mary Carey is venturing into boxing Miami following the end of her pornographic career.
The 39 year old who shot into fame by featuring in steamy X-rated videos online, has signed a contract with boxing promoter Damon Feldman.
Although her opponent is not yet known the bout has been fixed for April 18.
The bout will take place in a Miami strip club called The Booby Trap, with full details on the event to be announced in due course.
Celebrity boxing will be hosting the event, although the brand has had some difficulties of late, with the likes of Angry Bagel Guy and Lenny Dykstra walking away from their fights close to the date.
Mary Carey is expected to land a five-figure pay day for her exploits, though the actual fee will be determined on ticket sales and pay-per-view internet streams.
Her time in adult films came to an end in January 2007, as she decided to look for new opportunities in her career.
She has also worked as a Playboy model, radio host and film director. She took to her Instagram to announce her decision and new found love with boxing.
It read: “I signed my deal with @celebrityboxing1!!!! Story is on TMZ now!”
Her fans offered support for her new venture, with one commenting: “I can’t wait to watch you in action.”
But concerns have been raised about promoter Feldman ability and readiness to abide by the contract and payment plans with some of Carey’s fans urging her to collect the money upfront.
