France 2018: Falconets hit Austria next week for training tour

The U-20 girls who have been in Abuja for close to three months sweating it out ahead of this year’s edition which will be Nigeria’s ninth appearance have been confirmed to jet out on July 20 for the final phase of preparations.

The girls will fly through Germany from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport before connecting another flight to Austria.

Sportinglife.ng understands that the team will spend 11 days at the Bad Tatzmannsdorf camp in Austria, the same resort where the Super Eagles lodged prior to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria whose best outing remains runners up on two occasions have been drawn in Group D along with Germany, China and Haiti. They open their campaign against three-time Champions Germany at Stade de
Marville in Saint-Malo on August 6.

The Falconets will have revenge on their mind when they face the European nation who have always beaten
Nigeria in the final.

In the meantime, the National Under – 20 team, have received assurances from the Chris Giwa led NFF
board that all their allowances will be paid before the team departs for the World Cup.
