France coach Deschamps fires World Cup warning at Juve midfielder Pogba

France coach, Didier Deschamps has said he won’t take Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to the World Cup unless he’s fully fit.

Pogba faces a race against time to recover from knee surgery before Deschamps names his squad for Qatar 2022.

“It is impossible today to say anything. Yes, there is a delay with a more or less long range. I know Paul very well with whom I exchange regularly. Today, no one, even him, can say whether he will be there. I don’t know if he can be cured,” said Deschamps.

“And since I’ve been here, I’ve never taken a player to a final tournament if he wasn’t fully recovered. Paul is not an exception, he is not there to amuse the gallery. If he is recovered, that would be a very good thing.”
