Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has tipped his native country France to reach the final of the ongoing Russia 2018 World Cup after they defeated Argentina 4-3 in an explosive second round match at the Kazan Arena, to sail through to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Rohr watched the tail end of the explosive match as a result of arriving Nigeria from Russia with the last batch of the Super Eagles team that got eliminated by Argentina on Tuesday. He hailed the technical qualities of the French team which according to him helped them to win the match.
Rohr had earlier predicted victory for France when SportingLife.ng contacted him in Russia on Friday and said with smiles on his face that, “France will fly again”.
He had predicted 2-1 in favour of France but the match however ended 4-3.
“I saw the end of the match at the airport in Nigeria. Fantastic match where the technical qualities of France made the difference. France is surely a potential finalist”, the Eagles Manager disclosed. France will face Uruguay in the quarter final.
