France keeper targets January return from elbow injury

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has revealed he could return to action as early as January as he continues his recovery from a dislocated elbow.

Hugo Lloris eyes January return

Lloris suffered the shocking injury as he stumbled into his own net and gifted Brighton a goal in the first half of Spurs’ 3-0 defeat to Brighton back in October.

It was immediately obvious that Lloris would require a lengthy period of recovery on the sidelines as he was stretchered off the pitch, but the Frenchman says he’s making rapid progress.

‘Everything’s well,’ he said. ‘There can always be hazards, but my goal is to be ready for January.

‘Whether it’s the beginning, the middle or the end, I don’t know. In any case, I’ll take time to make sure I’m well healed and that I can come back in top form.

‘I’m also using the time to regenerate myself. I’ve never been away from the pitch for so long, so it’s something new, but I’m treating it positively.
