The Gypsy King came to the weigh-in as the man in the black hat and, unusually, kept his sleeveless shirt prompting speculation that he may look a little overweight.

Tyson Fury weighed in at 277 pounds, the heaviest he has weighed throughout his career

Wilder, stripped to the waist, still appeared muscular and honed and said: ‘I’ve put a few pounds on so he can’t lean on me and push me around as he did when he beat on the worst night of my career. ‘

Fury roared: ‘Bigger to obliterate, annihilate and put him in hospital.’ All uttered between a blitz of four letter insults.

‘It means total obliteration of a dosser,’ Fury added when asked for his views on the weigh in results. ‘Total annihilation. That is what it means to me. 277 pounds, I am going to put him in the royal infirmary after the fight.

On the significance of Wilder’s coaching change, Fury added: ‘Nothing, it’s one s***house teaching another s***house how to fight. The man [Scott] couldn’t fight himself, he was a s***house.

‘Look at the state of him [Wilder]. There isn’t a man born from his mother who can beat the Gypsy King, let alone this sausage here.’

The two titans were involved in tense verbals and had to be separated on stage by security

Fury enters Saturday’s Sin City showdown four pounds heavier than the last time he faced Wilder, while the Bronze Bomber has put on seven pounds despite appearing slow and lethargic during the one-sided beating 20 months ago.

Fury added to BT Sport: ‘I feel absolutely amazing, I have been training at this weight for nearly two years. I feel great, I feel on fire and I feel like knocking a dosser out. I think it will make him slower and he can’t carry his weight like I can.

‘They are not going to face me, I am a real man and he is a coward. I have to apologise for my language because I am emotional and it means a lot to me.

‘I am just going to punish Deontay Wilder, I am going to severely damage him. There isn’t much he hasn’t done in this build up, I hope he comes at me and let’s get it on from Round 1.’
