Gattuso recommends another Super Eagles star for Napoli
In what appears to be a complete swoop on Nigerian players, Italian giants, Napoli are also eyeing Villarreal forward, Samuel Chukwueze, a good friend of Victor Osimhen.
According to lebombedivlad, Napoli manager, Genaro Gattuso has recommended to the club management to make a move for the Villarreal winger.
Samuel Chukwueze agreed a new contract with Villarreal last year with a release clause at €100m for the next two years, that will drop to €80m from the third year. Therefore it’s very unlikely that the reports linking him to Napoli are right, unless Villarreal need the money?

Chukwueze is one of Nigeria’s brightest talent and has already been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs.
It is however not certain if would like to give out their valuable asset who has just signed a new deal with a release clause of 100m euros.
The Yellow Submarines just appointed former Arsenal manager, Unai Emery to replace Javi Calleja, and that could play a part in any decision regarding Chukwueze.
Two good friends Osimhen and Chukwueze were recently together in Paris ahead of the new season.
Osimhen was on the verge of completing his move to Napoli while Chukuweze just finished the La Liga season with Villarreal when they met in Paris.
The players both shared a photo of themselves in Paris on their social media pages.
Osimhen and Chukwueze have remained good friends since their days with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.
They were both in the squad for the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup which Nigeria won. Osimhen finished as the tournament’s highest goalscorer with 10 goals while Chukwueze was the third-highest scorer with three goals and three assists.
Chukwueze has been a consistent performer for the Yellow Submarine this season, featuring in 39 games across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
