Genk’s 30 million Euros asking price chases prospective suitors away from Onuachu

Super Eagles attacker, Paul Onuachu, will remain with the Belgian side, Genk, as long as they maintain the asking price of 30 million Euros for the player

The club had said they will not step down on their huge asking price for Onuachu.

Onuachu fired 35 goals in 41 games last season and Genk hope to cash in on this by asking for a record transfer fee of 30 million Euros for the giant striker.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws , Genk will continue to stubbornly maintain their original asking price of 30 Million Euros.

This has already scared many bidders in a transfer saga that has seen several Premier League clubs mentioned.

Onuachu has yet to react to this situation, while it is left to be seen whether as the transfer deadline day closes in, Genk will lower their asking price.

The striker has yet to get into his strides for the new season and was even dropped for Genk’s last game at home against KV Oostende, which they lost 4-3.

The Genk coach said Onuachu was not ready for the game, but hopes to have him back for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie at home against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 27-year-old striker has three more years left on his Genk contract.

His transfer market value has shot up to 20 Million Euros.
