Gerrard impressed with ‘aggressive’ Rangers player Ryan Kent

Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, believes that Ryan Kent’s ‘aggressive’ quality, separates him from other wingers and could help him reach the top of his game, according to the Daily Record.

The winger has been in impressive form this term. He has managed 13 attacking-returns from 20 games in all competitions this campaign. Ten of them have come in the league (five goals and five assists).

He joined permanently last season, after marvelling on an initial loan spell during the 2018-19 season. Since arriving at the Ibrox, he has been involved in 20 goals and 20 assists in 96 games for the Gers.

The side are 11 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and sit top of their Europa League group on seven points. They can guarantee their place in the knockout stages with a victory over Benfica tonight.

Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter with the Lisbon outfit, Gerrard mentioned how Kent’s so-called ‘aggressive’ quality separates him from other players in his position.

He also implied that it was ‘imperative’ to keep Kent at the club for as long as possible, to enhance their chances of success.
