Gerrard to decide on Ejaria’s future on Friday

Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard has promised to speak on the future of Ovie Ejaria on Friday.

The 21-year-old joined who joined the Glasgow club in June to continue with his development is expected to stay till the end of the season.

Ejaria who signed a long term contract with Liverpool before teaming up with the Light Blues this season on loan has scored two goals in 28 appearances.

Ejaria was omitted from the first-team for Gers’ 1-1 draw with Dundee last Sunday and has been left out of tonight’s crucial Europa League match against Rapid Vienna.

Speculation has now roused that he may leave Rangers after deleting his Twitter account and removing any resemblance of Rangers from his Instagram profile.

Ejaria does still follow Gerrard on Instagram, however, as well as team-mates Glenn Middleton, Ryan Kent and Umar Sadiq.

The manager also confirmed it was his decision to omit Ejaria from the travelling squad.

”Ovie is slightly unsettled at the moment,” the Rangers boss added.

“I chatted to him a couple of days ago and we decided it was better to leave him at home.

“The plan is to talk to Ovie on Friday to see where he his at.”
